Amelia has been with Parkway Chiropractic & Rehab since 2007. At a young age, she had a natural talent for massage and was told she had strong hands, so massage school was the obvious choice. She received her license from the European Institute of Sweedish Massage in Houston, TX in 2007. She genuinely enjoy seeing people improve their health and being a part of that success.
Outside of work, she is an excellent billiard’s player, and you can often find her next door to the office at the local pool hall. As an avid learner, she enjoys the flexibility of this job to achieve more training in her spare time. Her specialties focus on deep tissue and myofascial release for sports and medical rehabilitation, but she is also available for spa massages. Kim has been with our practice since her graduation from Winters School of Houston, TX in 1995. She enjoys working here because she believes in the team she works with. She was inspired to become a massage therapist through her own pain of migraines and psoas scar tissue. She achieved relief when she was younger through a massage therapist and decided that she wanted to help people.
She has extensive continuing education training in myofascial relase I (which is used to release scar tissue), MFR II, psoas, deep tissue, even sweedish massage. Most of her work is targeted towards rehabilitation from pain and loss of function and migraine relief. When Kim isn’t busy with her kids, she riding, training, and competing on horses.
